Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 January 2026 · Effective from 1 February 2026

These Terms govern your use of HookCastle (the "Service"), operated from Italy by the team behind hookcastle.com ("we", "us"). By creating an account or sending traffic to our API, you agree to these Terms. Contact details for legal correspondence are at the bottom of this page.

1. The Service

HookCastle is a webhook delivery service. We accept HTTP requests from you (events) and deliver their payloads to URLs you designate (destinations), with retries and observability features described in our public documentation.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of API keys, dashboard passwords, and any other credentials. You must notify us at security@hookcastle.com as soon as you suspect a credential has been exposed.

You must be a legal entity, or an individual aged 16+, to create an account. For Enterprise contracts, the entity must be capable of entering binding contracts under its applicable law.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Deliver content that is unlawful, that infringes third-party rights, or that contains malware.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messaging in violation of applicable anti-spam law (CAN-SPAM, GDPR Art. 6, etc.).
  • Probe, scan, or attempt to penetrate destinations you do not have permission to send to.
  • Circumvent rate limits or quota by creating multiple Free-tier accounts.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these clauses, after reasonable notice when feasible.

4. Fees and billing

Pricing is published at hookcastle.com/pricing. Pro plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in EUR. Overage events are billed in arrears at the rate published. Invoices include applicable VAT where required.

5. Service availability

We aim for high availability but, on Free and Pro plans, we do not commit to a specific SLA. Enterprise contracts may include a 99.95% monthly uptime SLA with service credits — refer to your separate Enterprise agreement.

Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance via the status page and email to all account holders.

6. Data

We process the data you submit (event payloads, headers, destination URLs) only for the purposes of delivering events, providing the dashboard, and complying with our legal obligations. The full picture is in our Privacy Policy.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by Italian law, our aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts of third parties (including the destinations you send events to).

8. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing hello@hookcastle.com. We may terminate or suspend accounts for material breach of these Terms, fraud, or non-payment. On termination we retain the delivery log read-only for 14 days, then delete it. You can export the log to JSON at any time before deletion.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Italian courts, except where mandatory consumer-protection law assigns competence elsewhere.

11. Contact

For legal correspondence, write to hello@hookcastle.com. We will respond from a verified address on file.
